Maryland forced no personnel changes after the investigation into whether its football program had a “toxic culture,” though one university administrator won’t remain with the school for much longer.

As detailed in an ESPN report, Maryland president Wallace Loh announced his intentions to retire in June. But the University System Board of Regents urged Maryland to continue employing athletic director Damon Evans and coach DJ Durkin, who has been on paid administrative leave since Aug. 11 but was recently cleared of the worst allegations against his program.

The Terrapins program received severe backlash following the death of offensive lineman Jordan McNair after a summer workout, which ultimately led to multiple accusations of systemic abuses on Durkin. Several players reportedly walked out of a meeting with Durkin on Tuesday, and it’s unlikely that public outcry against the school will subside any time soon.

Loh’s impending retirement might be well received, at least.
