Iowa State vs. Kansas State’s Week 0 game in Dublin hasn’t been the most entertaining affair. It’s been a sloppy one, as well.
Fans at Aviva Stadium needed extra entertainment during the game, it appears. As you can see below, a massive cup snake began to make its way through the stadium at some point during the game.
Take a look. This started in the second deck and made its way all the way down to near the front row of the bottom deck:
Beer snakes are nothing new in sports. In 2024, Ole Miss students made one that spanned a wide number of rows. (To add some context, that was in the middle of a 73-0 game.) And in 2019, fans at a Kentucky-Vanderbilt game formed one of their own as they attempted to form the longest cup snake in SEC history.
Ireland, of course, is known for its beers and pubs. So it’s only natural that one broke out during Iowa State vs. K-State as the two teams resumed their long-running “Farmegeddon” series.
After the teams went into the locker room tied 7-7 at halftime, Iowa State jumped ahead 14-7 in the 3rd quarter. With 10 minutes to go in the 4th quarter, the Cyclones were up 17-14.
