Matt Flynn, former LSU QB, names Jayden Daniels’ strengths and weaknesses

Jayden Daniels has been a rollercoaster for LSU fans. One one hand, he’s proficient enough to lead the Tigers to a strong win over Mississippi State with just 2 losses on the season to Florida State and Tennessee.

On the other, his vertical game is still lacking, a necessity in the college game today. The Tigers are a little threat in the passing game, even with strong receivers such as Kayshon Boutte.

Matt Flynn, a former LSU quarterback and current ESPN Radio analyst with Off The Bench, analyzed Daniels’ play as of late on Wednesday’s show:

“I think Jayden Daniels has strengths and he has weaknesses, just like everybody else. I don’t think he reads top to bottom, left to right I don’t think that’s a strength,” Flynn said. “What his strength is is getting his ball out of his hands, I think he makes pretty good decisions on the quick game and I think that he’s good if they were to implement an RPO system a little bit more.”

What do you think of Flynn’s analysis?
