Matthew McConaughey believes this year’s Texas team is different.
The Oscar-winning actor and die-hard Texas fan thinks the Longhorns have a chance to win it all this season and he believes they are carrying themselves with great confidence so far, but also staying focused on the long-term goal of winning a championship.
It feels different for Texas this year..

“Talent and belief, focus and intent,”McConaughey said on College GameDay. “This team, we’ve got talent. We’ve been under Sarkisian, now this is his team. It is different this year. Notice, we’ve been kind of quiet, because we’re focused on it. We’re not taking any shots. We’re on a mission to go where we need to go.”
Texas is certainly on a good path to making the College Football Playoff, already picking up a huge win over Alabama in Week 2 and now looking for another big win over Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry.
But Oklahoma is coming into the game with vengeance, looking to make up for last year’s embarrassing loss.
The game between the Longhorns and Sooners kicks off at noon ET on Saturday.
