Matthew Stafford, former Georgia QB, progressing towards starting vs. Saints following injury, per report

Former Georgia star Matthew Stafford is expected to make his return for the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams when they take on the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news via Twitter:
Rams’ QB Matthew Stafford, who missed last week’s game vs. Arizona while he was in concussion protocol, was a full participant in today’s practice, putting him on track to start Sunday vs. the Saints.

Stafford practiced on Wednesday without any limitations. The veteran quarterback was out for the Rams’ last contest vs. the Arizona Cardinals due to being in concussion protocol.
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Stafford has completed 195 of his 285 passes for 1,928 yards, 8 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions this season. Stafford has a QBR of 47.4, which ranks 21st.
The 34-year-old Stafford guided the Rams to a Super Bowl last season in his first year with the franchise after spending a dozen seasons with the Detroit Lions. For his pro career, Stafford has tallied 51,923 yards, 331 touchdowns, and 169 interceptions. Stafford set the NFL record for most fourth quarter comebacks in a season in 2016 with 8.
During his time at Georgia from 2006-08, Stafford passed for 7,731 yards, 51 touchdowns, and 33 interceptions. Stafford was a First-team All-American and Second-team All-SEC in 2008.
