Max Duggan for Heisman? College football fans react to TCU QB’s gutsy performance
By Adam Spencer
Published:
Max Duggan and the TCU Horned Frogs may have come up short against Kansas State on Saturday afternoon in the Big 12 Championship Game, falling in overtime.
But the star quarterback gave his all for his team, throwing for 251 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception and adding 110 yards and 1 touchdown as a runner.
He left it all on the field. This fourth quarter run and ensuing 2-point conversion pass put the Horned Frogs in a 28-28 tie with the Wildcats and gave them a chance to win:

So, is the Heisman Trophy race over? Did Duggan do enough to wrest the nation’s top honor away from USC QB Caleb Williams (who also lost his conference championship game)?
Fans and media members on Twitter are ready to give Duggan the award:

We’ll see what happens next weekend in New York City, but it’s going to be a close race either way. Voters will have a tough decision on their hands!
