A No. 1 vs. No. 3 matchup in the season opener is a recipe that already creates one of the most anticipated games of the year.

You add Arch Manning to the equation, and now you have a recipe for the most anticipated game Mel Kiper Jr. has ever seen in college football.

The No. 1 Texas Longhorns will travel to Columbus, Ohio, to take on the No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes in what will be one of the most hyped games of the year. It is the start of a full season of Arch Manning at quarterback for Texas, and it is the reigning national champions’ first game in their quest to become back-to-back national champions.

Mel Kiper Jr. said this about the game: “48 years I’ve been covering college football…never remember a game as anticipated as this one.”

Here’s a clip with more of Kiper’s thoughts from ‘Get Up’ on Thursday morning:

Ohio State is a slight home favorite against Texas in this matchup. All eyes will be on Manning, who could be the No. 1 overall pick in next year’s draft if he has a strong year for the Longhorns.

It all starts at12 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon in Columbus.
