Miami has picked up another win over in-state rival Florida.

Back in August, Mario Cristobal’s Hurricanes traveled to Gainesville and thumped the Gators 41-17 in The Swamp. On Tuesday, Cristobal’s program got the better of UF on the recruiting trail.

Blue-chip wide receiver Joshua Moore verbally pledged to Billy Napier’s Gators back on June 26. On Tuesday, he announced that he is now committed to Miami. Moore shared the big news on social media.

The Hurricanes figured to be a factor for Moore, a South Florida kid, up until December’s Early Signing Period. Out of West Broward High School in Pembroke Pines, Florida, Moore is listed as measuring 6-4 and 205 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Moore is rated 4-stars, the No. 17 wide receiver, No. 26 player in the Sunshine State and No. 168 prospect overall in the Class of 2025.

Now that Moore has flipped, Florida is down to 12 verbal commitments for 2025. The class ranks No. 37 nationally on the Composite.

Miami is now up to 22 commitments with Moore on board for a 2025 class that ranks No. 12 on the Composite. The addition of Moore makes up for the recent decommitment of 4-star WR Malachi Toney.

UM fans who don’t already follow West Broward football can get a preview of what Moore brings to the program by checking out his highlights in the Hudl video below:
