Miami-Ohio will honor Mike Leach during the first bowl game of the season, the Bahamas Bowl against UAB on Friday.

Miami will honor the Mississippi State coach by wearing the MAC Pirate Flag decal, along with his name on their helmets.

The Bahamas Bowl will feature a key matchup with the top rushing defense in the Mid-American Conference, against UAB’s fifth-ranked rushing offense fueled by DeWayne McBride, as the Blazers average 243.8 yards per game and 6.0 yards per carry.

Both teams are 6-6 and trying to finish with winning records after gaining bowl eligibility with wins in their final regular-season game.

ESPN will broadcast the game beginning at 11:30 a.m. ET, with Steve Levy, Joey Galloway and Kris Budden.
