Smart went undrafted in the 2021 NBA draft, playing for both Miami and the Milwaukee Bucks last season. He struggled in Summer League play these past few weeks, shooting just 31% from the field including an 18% hit rate from range.
Days also went undrafted but earned a two-way contract from the Heat after three games in Summer League with the San Antonio Spurs. He scored an average of 13 points and 10 rebounds in 3 games for the Spurs.
Smart and Days both had plenty of success under head coach Will Wade at LSU. Days played a full 4 seasons in Baton Rouge, averaging 10.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game with the Tigers.
Smart was a solid scorer, averaging 13 points per game and aiding in leading the Tigers to the Sweet 16 his freshman season.
