The Missouri Tigers have been anxiously waiting for star freshman Michael Porter Jr. to make his return to the court.

He was cleared for contact a week and a half ago, but has missed the Tigers’ past three games. Now, it appears, that streak will extend to four.

On Saturday morning, Porter released a statement saying he would not suit up for the regular-season finale at home against Arkansas. Porter added that he will continue to work to potentially return during the SEC Tournament:

That’s obviously bad news for the Tigers, who are currently in most NCAA Tournament projections, but not by much.

If Porter can return for the SEC tourney, that’ll be a huge boost for the Tigers’ March Madness chances.
