The speculated Jim McElwain-Jim Harbaugh union is official.

Michigan announced the addition of the former Florida head coach Tuesday. McElwain will serve as the program’s receivers coach, not as an offensive coordinator. The Wolverines now have a full staff of 10 assistants under Harbaugh.

McElwain offered up these comments via press release:

“I am excited to work with this offensive staff and Coach Harbaugh. There are a lot of great offensive minds in that coaching room and I look forward to learning from them.”

None of this is particularly newsworthy, as the hiring of McElwain by the Wolverines had been in the works for days now, but check out this terrible photoshop down by the Michigan graphics department. It’s pretty disturbing.

If you look closely at the image, you can make out what appears to be a shark in the background behind McElwain…
