Mike Hollins, a University of Virginia running back and victim of the senseless shooting that took place last Sunday, has had a successful surgery to remove a bullet.

His former high school head coach updated his condition Tuesday, via Outkick.

“They removed a bullet on Monday and went back in to check on a few things this morning,” University High head coach Andy Martin said Tuesday afternoon. “The early prognosis is he’s going to be OK.”

3 Virginia players were killed in the shooting that injured Hollins. The 3 were juniors Lavel Davis Jr, Devin Chandler and D’Sean Perry. May they all rest in peace.

As of now, it is unclear whether or not Virginia will play its game this week against Coastal Carolina. Obviously, a football game is on the bottom of the priority list for the Cavaliers program Tuesday afternoon.
