Washington State coach Mike Leach calls out SEC for being ‘babies’

Mike Leach doesn’t have a filter. He says whatever is on his head, and sometimes that can make you scratch yours.

For instance, when he was asked to describe officials.

“It’s a little like breakfast. You eat ham and eggs. As coaches and players, we’re like the ham. You see, the chicken’s involved but the pig’s committed. We’re like the pig, they’re like the chicken. They’re involved, but everything we have rides on this.”

Right.

Well, Leach took on a more serious tone (maybe he was serious in the above quote, too, who knows) when asked on SiriusXM College Sports Nation on Monday about the decision to ban satellite camps.

“A bunch of people need to worry about what they’re doing and not what Jim Harbaugh’s doing,” Leach started.

Here’s what else he had to say.

At the end of the day, unless the vote was rigged, all but one of the Power 5 conferences voted against them and not just the SEC. So some of Leach’s frustrations, and that of others, seem to be a little misplaced.
