Mike Leach shares reaction to College Football Playoff expansion, praises MSU president

Mike Leach, like many other coaches in the SEC, is in favorite of the expected expansion of the college football playoffs to 12 teams.
The Mississippi State coach also took time to send a shout out to school president Mark Keeenum, who is also the chairman of the College Football Playoff board of managers.
“I’m thrilled. I think it’s a huge step in the right direction,” Leach said. “Having Dr. Keenum involved is a huge step in the positive. “In the world of bureaucracy and passing the buck you want to have somebody capable of handling things and I think he’s a good example.”

Expansion could allow the SEC to get 4 or 5 teams into the playoff and that opens the door for Leach and his program, which has to navigate through the difficult SEC West each year.
