Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott found himself listed as questionable due to a calf injury leading up to a visit to Minnesota to take on the Vikings on “Sunday Night Football”.

Eventually, Prescott was ruled out, meaning that Cooper Rush was called upon to make his 1st NFL start. And while the former undrafted free agent impressed in a Cowboys win over the Vikings, Dallas fans will hope that their franchise quarterback can return to the lineup sooner rather than later.

Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy on Monday spoke on the health of Prescott and provided a promising update as they host the Broncos on Sunday in search of their 7th straight win.

According to Pro Football Talk, McCarthy stated that the expectation was for Prescott to be available to practice on Wednesday on a limited basis. That would pave the way for him to be a full participant the next day barring any setbacks.

Of course, Prescott had his 2020 campaign wiped out due to an ankle fracture during Week 5 last year, but his calf injury appears to be just a minor speed bump in what’s been a terrific 2021 thus far.
