Even Mike the Tiger needs a place to stay in the midst of Hurricane Ida’s arrival in Louisiana.
The caretakers of the LSU mascot, specifically Mike VII, are ensuring that he is kept safe and sound over the next few days as the state braces for the weather event. On Sunday morning, the individuals that run Mike’s official Twitter account posted a photo of Mike relaxing indoors.
I’m going to be inside for the next few days because of the approaching storm. But my caretakers are making snacks so I’m all good. Stay safe, Tigers! pic.twitter.com/NK20LAKNHq

It’s no sno-ball, but I highly recommend the goats-milk-unicorn popsicle. Stay safe, Tigers! #hurricanesnacks pic.twitter.com/VIOcfdm2vH

As you can see from the video above, Mike will have his own stash of hurricane snacks while indoors, specifically popsicles made of goat milk. The milk was poured into a mold in the shape of a unicorn before being given to the mascot to enjoy.
Meanwhile, as Ida bears down on Louisiana, the LSU campus has been closed until Tuesday. It had already been closed over the weekend in anticipation of the arrival of the hurricane.
