Minnesota issues open letter to College GameDay pleading for first-ever visit from popular show

Minnesota is one of a handful of Power 5 programs that has never hosted ESPN’s College GameDay.
However, the Gophers are now 8-0, and they feel like it is time for that streak to come to an end. In fact, they’d like to host the show on Saturday, Nov. 9.
As you can see below, Minnesota’s Twitter account sent out an open letter to ESPN’s studios after Saturday’s big win over Maryland:

The problem? Nov. 9 also features a game between No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 LSU. That will probably get more attention than Minnesota’s game against Penn State (even though that’s a huge game, too).
Will the Gophers continue to remain unbeaten? We’ll find out soon enough.
