Mississippi State to play without Jameon Lewis vs. UT Martin

Mississippi State announced Saturday senior wideout Jameon Lewis has been ruled out of the Bulldogs’ game against UT Martin. Lewis, who has 16 catches for 225 yards and a touchdown on the season, will miss his fourth game of the season due to injuries.
There’s no one injury keeping Lewis out of action Saturday, and the choice to sit him appears to be precautionary as MSU takes on its one and only FCS opponent of the season.
Jameon Lewis will not play today vs UT-Martin per MSU spokesperson. Was told he could play if he had to.

The Bulldogs have a huge game against No. 5 Alabama scheduled next weekend, and Lewis is expected to play in that game.
