Mississippi State announces 17 summer enrollees with one notable absence
The first term of summer school begins in Starkville on Thursday which means Joe Moorhead’s program will welcome some new faces to campus this week. Mississippi State officially announced that 17 signees made it campus but the one name not found on the list may cause some disappointment.
Receiver Malik Heath is not among the 17 players that have been admitted by MSU. Heath, a four-star prospect and the top overall prospect from the state of Mississippi in the 2018 recruiting cycle, could have potentially made an impact on Moorhead’s first team in Starkville considering he plays at a position of need for the Bulldogs heading into fall camp. MSU signee and receiver prospect Johnquarise Patterson is also missing from the list.
Despite that unfortunate news, Mississippi State will still welcome plenty of talent to Starkville for the first time this week. Here’s the complete list of players Mississippi State announced as recent enrollees:
- linebacker Aaron Brule of Metairie, La.
- defensive end Jaden Crumedy of Hattiesburg
