After redshirting during his 1st season in Starkville, Dean played sparingly in 9 games in 2021, recording 3 tackles for the Bulldogs.
The Batesville, Mississippi native was rated by the 247Sports Composite as a 3-star prospects and No. 11 overall recruit in his home state in the 2020 class.
Before picking Mississippi State, Dean also had offers from Tennessee, South Carolina, Arkansas, and Ole Miss, among others.
Dean is the 3rd MSU player to announce their intentions to transfer since the Bulldogs wrapped up a 7-5 regular season.
