Mississippi State freshman forward reportedly enters NCAA transfer portal

Now that the season is over for all but 8 teams in the college basketball world, players are entering the NCAA transfer portal left and right.

On Monday, the Mississippi State Bulldogs reportedly lost a backup forward to the portal.

Per 247Sports, freshman forward Keondre Montgomery has entered the portal and will explore his options for the 2021-22 season:

Montgomery was a 3-star prospect coming out of high school in Jackson, Mississippi, as part of the 2020 class. Per the 247Sports composite rankings, he was the No. 2 player out of the state of Mississippi.

Montgomery played in 7 games for the Bulldogs in 2020-21, averaging 1.3 points per contest. Now, we’ll see where he ends up next.
