Mississippi State OC Luke Getsy on RB Kylin Hill: ‘He earned the starting position’

Kylin Hill has been the talk of Starkville this season, as the sophomore running back has taken the Mississippi State Bulldogs by storm.
Through two games, Hill has 26 carries for 261 yards and three touchdowns. He’s also added two catches for 69 yards, with both of those receptions going for scores.
On Tuesday, Mississippi State OC Luke Getsy said Hill simply dominated the fall camp competition, earning the starting job over incumbent Aeris Williams:
Luke Getsy on Kylin Hill: “He came into fall camp and earned the starting position. I don’t think anyone will say different.”

Williams didn’t play in Saturday’s win over Kansas State, and coach Joe Moorhead said it was simply because he didn’t earn any playing time.
If Hill keeps playing like he has the first two weeks of the season, it’ll be tough for Williams to work his way back into a featured role this year.
