Mississippi State has earned a commitment from a promising Class of 2022 in-state prospect.
ATH Dakota Jordan (Canton, MS) gave his verbal pledge to the Bulldogs on Friday. Jordan will play both football and baseball for Mississippi State.
First off, I would like to thank the man above, my family, friends, & coaches for getting me where I am today. I’m very blessed to announce that I’ll be furthering my education & both my baseball/football career at Mississippi State University. #HailState!

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Jordan explained to 247Sports why he committed to Mississippi State.
“I’ve done a lot of thinking and praying about it,” Jordan said. “I said ‘why not Mississippi State?’. I called the coaches last night and again this morning and they were hyped. I haven’t talked to the baseball coaches yet but they’ve always been fine with me playing two sports. So I am good to go now.”
Jordan is the second Class of 2022 commitment for Mississippi State. 3-star defensive end Jacarius Clayton is the other 2022 commitment for the Bulldogs.
