One of Mississippi State’s veteran defensive linemen is headed for the transfer portal. Redshirt junior Jevon Banks announced his decision on Twitter.
The 6-foot-2, 300-pound Mississippi native played in 10 games this season and amassed a career-best 6 tackles in the team’s 56-7 victory vs. ETSU on Nov. 19.

Thanks to the entire Mississippi State coaching staff for the opportunity to play at the next level!” Banks said. “To the Bulldog fans, I am forever grateful for each and every one of you! The love shown will never be forgotten! With that being said, I have decided to enter my name into the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility!”
In total, Banks appeared in 20 games for Mississippi State. Banks arrived at Mississippi State as a 3-star prospect and the No. 17 recruit in the state according to 247Sports.
