Mississippi State transfer DB Janari Dean announces commitment to in-state program

After 2 seasons at Mississippi State, Janari Dean is headed to Southern Miss.
Dean announced his transfer commitment Tuesday.

A 5-11, 195-pound redshirt freshman, Dean signed as part of MSU’s 2020 recruiting class. He redshirted his first year on campus and played in 9 games this season, recording 3 tackles for the Bulldogs during 2021.
Out of South Panola, the Batesville native was a 3-star recruit with offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee.
