Mississippi State Women’s Basketball wins first SEC Championship in program history

No. 2 Mississippi State women’s basketball has won its first SEC Championship in program history.
MSU beat Texas A&M 76-55 Sunday, and with the victory, Mississippi State became the first women’s team to win an SEC Championship in school history.
The Bulldogs finished the regular season an incredible 28-0, with South Carolina finishing second at 22-5 overall and 11-3 in conference. To put it plainly, MSU has become a juggernaut in women’s basketball.
Head coach Vic Schaefer has done another marvelous job with this year’s team, and it’s not close to being over yet.

Last season’s remarkable run fell one game short losing the National Championship to South Carolina. But the Bulldogs toppled Connecticut and its 111-game winning streak in the semi-final.
The SEC women’s basketball tournament starts February 28 from Nashville, Tennessee, and MSU is a big favorite to win it.
