A day before Missouri goes for its first SEC win of the year, the Tigers landed a victory on the recruiting trail.

Three-star safety Stacy Brown took to Twitter on Friday to announce his commitment to the Tigers. The 6-foot-2, 194-pound defensive back out of Duncanville High School in Texas had offers from mostly Group of 5 schools, though Ole Miss, Purdue and Washington State were among the power conference programs competing for his services.

Brown is rated as the 96th-best safety nationally and the No. 149 overall player in talent-rich Texas, according to 247Sports.com’s composite ratings for the 2019 class. His commitment brought Missouri’s next recruiting class to 15 players.
