Missouri went head-to-head with Arkansas for one of the top 2024 recruits in the Razorbacks’ backyard and came away with the victory.

On Wednesday, Jonesboro (Ark.) Valley View linebacker Brian Huff gave his verbal commitment to the Tigers. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound defender selected Missouri over Arkansas, UCF, and UNLV.

Huff is a 4-star prospect in the industry-generated 247 Composite. He’s ranked as the No. 32 linebacker in the class and the No. 5 prospect in the state of Arkansas. Overall, he sits at No. 376 in the national player rankings.

As a junior last fall, Huff was credited with 92 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 2 pass breakups, 1 forced fumble, and 1 block. He had another 72 tackles as a sophomore to go along with 9 TFLs, 3 interceptions, 2 sacks, and 2 more forced fumbles.

It’s the Tigers’ 11th known commitment so far this cycle. You can see his highlight tape below, via Hudl:
