Missouri reaches into Texas to flip Tulane RB commit Simi Bakare

The Missouri Tigers are looking to build off of a strong 2017 season, and the Tigers added a RB to its 2018 recruiting class on Tuesday.

Simi Bakare, a RB out of Austin, Texas, made the announcement on Twitter that he is committed to the Tigers. Bakare flips his commitment after he had originally committed to Tulane in October.

According to 247 Sports, Missouri was the only SEC offer for the 2-star prospect, but Bakare possesses an interesting skill set. At 6-foot-0 and 184 pounds, Bakare has a strong build and will look to contribute with the Tigers.

He also put up some eye-popping numbers his senior year to increase his stock. He ran for 1,759 yards with 29 TDs as a senior after posting just 607 yards as a junior. Some players definitely bloom late, and Bakare saved his best high school season for his senior year.
