Missouri will take on Memphis in a home-and-home series set to begin next season in Columbia, according to a report from college basketball insider Jon Rothstein.

The return game is expected to be at FedEx Forum during the 2024-25 season.

Penny Hardaway and Memphis lost in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against Final Four-bound Florida Atlantic to end a 26-9 season. Hardaway completed his 5th season in Memphis, and made the NCAA Tournament the last 2 seasons as a 9- and an 8-seed. Memphis advanced to the second round during the 2021-22 season.

Missouri’s roster remains fluid, and coach Dennis Gates mentioned on Thursday that Kobe Brown will get information from the NBA following a combine in May about his pro future. Beyond Brown, Gates said he treats plays as if they will return. He said Ronnie DeGray is still getting individual workouts from Missouri coaches, as is Mo Diarra, Nick Honor, Isiaih Mosley and Sean East. Gates said he’ll defer to deadlines to really impact when it’s time to make a decision.
