Auburn was expected to have plenty of roster turnover following its surprising season.
The Tigers got some news on that front on Thursday.
Auburn backup point guard Davion Mitchell announced via Twitter that after one season, he’s transferring:

The former 4-star recruit was a key contributor for the Tigers in 2017-18. He played in all 34 games and averaged 3.4 points and 1.9 assists per contest. Mitchell also shot 43 percent from beyond the arc.
The Hinesville, Georgia native will have 3 years of eligibility left after he sits out the 2018-19 because of NCAA transfer rules.
It’s unknown if others will follow Mitchell out of Auburn with the FBI investigation cloud hanging over the program.
