Mizzou added to its 2023 recruiting class on Friday with a commitment from Jahkai Lang, a 3-star defensive end out of Troy, Missouri (Troy Buchanan).

D.J. Smith recruited Lang to the Tigers, and he made the commitment after 14 known offers, including Kentucky and Wisconsin. Lang is listed at 6-foot-3 and 240 pounds. He’s rated the No. 10 player in the state of Missouri, and the No. 28 EDGE in the class of 2023, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Lang joined Brett Norfleet, a tight end out of Saint Charles, Missouri, in the Tigers’ 2023 class, which is ranked No. 9 in the SEC, and No. 29 in the country.

“The place feels like home and I’ve always wanted to play in the SEC,” he told 247Sports. “Mizzou runs the 4-2-5 and I heard the best players in Missouri play for Missouri.”
