Redshirt freshman Mizzou basketball player Sean Durugordon has decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal.
Durugordon made the announcement Friday on his Twitter account:
“After discussing with my family, I’ve decided to enter my name into the transfer portal. Thank you Mizzou for everything. Looking forward to what the future holds.”
A Queens, New York native, Durugordon arrived at Mizzou in January 2021. He redshirted, practicing and traveling with the Tigers. This season, Durugordon logged 65 minutes, shooting 11-of-31 from the field and 14-of-17 from the free-throw line for 38 points, adding 14 rebounds and 3 steals. Durugordon last played against Arkansas, logging 6 minutes. His scoring came against Kansas, when he posted 11 points. The only time he cracked double-digit minutes came against Kentucky, when he played 11 minutes and had 6 points.
Durugordon’s departure leaves Mizzou with 11 scholarship players for this season, and with Javon Pickett the only senior, MU now has an open scholarship for the 2022 class. MU signed Christian Jones & Aidan Shawn in November.
