The Missouri Tigers men’s basketball team took a huge step forward in coach Cuonzo Martin’s first year at the helm of the program, making it back to the NCAA Tournament.
After losing guys like Kassius Robertson and Michael Porter Jr. this offseason, though, the Tigers need to reload, and on Saturday night, they took a big step toward doing just that.
As you can see in the Twitter post below, Illinois transfer Mark Smith will head to Columbia this fall and will be eligible to play starting in the 2019-20 season:

Smith appeared in 31 games for the Illini this season, averaging 5.8 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest.
He’ll have to sit out this coming season, but then the former 4-star recruit should provide a boost to the Tigers, who need a true point guard to run Martin’s offense.
