Missouri defensive back Jaylon Carlies is returning to the Tigers in 2023, as he announced via Twitter on Tuesday.

He took to the social media platform with an announcement video, indicating this plans to “run it back” in the Show Me State next season, dropping in some of his best highlights of the year as well.

Carlies was a piece of a stout, underrate Mizzou defensive unit in 2022, finishing out the season with 81 total tackles (60 solo), 3 interceptions, 1 sack and 1 forced fumble on the season. So far in his career with the Tigers, Carlies has posted 156 combined tackles (120 solo), 7 interceptions, 4 passes defended, 2 forced fumbles and 1 sack.

How he performs next season within a team that seems to be a few tweaks away from turning the corner will be something to watch.
