Mizzou’s defense has clearly spent plenty of time practicing the tip drill this offseason.

Through just over 1 quarter of play against Louisiana Tech, the Tigers have snagged 2 interceptions off of tipped passes (and had a third tip-drill pick called off due to a penalty).

Early in the second quarter, Clemson transfer DB Joseph Charleston played hero, snagging the interception and returning it 29 yards for the score:

Oregon transfer DL Kristian Williams was the one who tipped the pass from the Louisiana Tech quarterback.

The pick-six gave the Tigers a 14-3 lead early in the second quarter of the game. We’ll see if the Tigers’ opportunistic defense can force some more turnovers moving forward.
