The Missouri Tigers were one of the hottest teams in the country during the second half of the season, winning all six games to finish with a 7-5 record.
With a chance to reach eight wins in the Texas Bowl on Wednesday night, the Tigers aren’t going to let that opportunity slip away easily.
According to DE Marcell Frazier, the Tigers are treating their bowl game like it is the national title game, which is bad news for the Texas Longhorns (via KansasCity.com):
“Our motivation is about as good as it can get,” Frazier said. “We’re treating this like it’s the national championship. It’s just the Texas Bowl, but we’re treating it like the national championship.”
Like Frazier said, the Tigers understand it’s not the national championship, but it is great to see a team actually caring about a bowl game.
Considering the Longhorns have several players either sitting out ahead of the 2018 NFL Draft or suspended, the Tigers will have a good chance to extend their winning streak to seven games.
