Mizzou lost 40-12 last year to Kansas State in Manhattan. This year at Faurot Field in Columbia, things have been different on the offensive side of the ball for the Tigers.

Last season, in that blowout loss, the Tigers managed only 2 field goals and a garbage time touchdown in the game. This year, through the first half, at least, the Mizzou offense has been much better.

Luther Burden got the scoring started for Mizzou with a career-long 47-yard touchdown grab:

Mizzou holds a narrow 17-14 lead heading into halftime against No. 15 Kansas State. We’ll see if Drinkwitz and OC Kirby Moore have more strong plays up their sleeves in the second half. If Mizzou can pull off the upset and beat the Wildcats, it will drastically improve attitudes across the Tigers’ fanbase.
