Mizzou honoring Mike Leach during Friday’s Gasparilla Bowl

Missouri joined in on the teams honoring late Mississippi State head coach Mike Leach on Friday ahead of the Gasparilla Bowl on Friday, setting the enter the game with a “Mike” decal on the Tigers’ helmets.

There have been a host of schools including multiple programs from the MAC and other conferences alike who have placed stickers on their helmet to pay tribute to Leach, some how have flown the pirate flag and others who have put something up on their stadium scoreboards to remember Leach since his death in early December.

Mizzou and Wake Forest are set to kick off at 5:30 p.m. CT as both teams prepare to put a wrap of 2022 with one final postseason contest. It will be interesting to see how things play out after the Tigers achieved bowl eligibility with a win in the season finale over Arkansas.
