Missouri quarterbacks coach Sean Gleeson is reportedly headed to the Big 12. According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Kansas State is hiring Gleeson as the program’s next offensive coordinator.

Gleeson began at Missouri in 2023 as an analyst before becoming quarterbacks coach. Most recently prior to Missouri, Gleeson was an analyst for Northwestern in 2023.

This comes after news that Missouri is reportedly hiring ex-Clemson offensive coordinator Garrett Riley as an offensive assistant coach.

Missouri finished 104th nationally in passing yards this season, as Beau Pribula had an uneven first season in Columbia. Gleeson has previously been an offensive coordinator at Princeton (2017-2018), Oklahoma State (2019), and Rutgers (2020-2022).

Gleeson guided Princeton to 470 points in 2018, which was second in the FCS and an Ivy League record. That season Princeton was also third nationally in total offense, fueled by scoring at least 40 points in 8 games. Under the guidance of Gleeson, quarterback John Lovett captured the Bushnell Cup, which goes to the Ivy League’s Offensive Player of the Year.

Missouri finished with an 8-5 record this season, capped off with a 13-7 loss to Virginia in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. Missouri has been bowl eligible in every season since Eli Drinkwitz took over in 2020.
