The NCAA transfer portal opens for undergraduates next week, and Eli Drinkwitz’s Mizzou squad will be among the teams experiencing some departures. As of Monday evening, at least 4 Tigers players appear to be looking at continuing their college football careers elsewhere.

Dave Matter of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that QB Tyler Macon and DE Travion Ford have told the Mizzou staff that they will be entering the portal. It was reported Sunday that star WR Dominic Lovett is entering his name into the portal. DB Darius “DJ” Jackson shared a farewell note Monday announcing he would be submitting his name to the portal.

Macon saw limited playing time over 2 seasons. After competing with Brady Cook for the starting QB job this past offseason, Macon played in just 3 games in 2022 as a redshirt freshman. The East Saint Louis native will have 3 remaining seasons of eligibility.

Ford made 1 appearance during the 2021 season, taking a redshirt. He did not see the field in 2022.
