Mizzou sophomore QB Drew Lock needs to become more of a leader for the Tigers

Mizzou sophomore QB Drew Lock actually has a lot of experience compared to many starting quarterbacks in the SEC.
However, that experience hasn’t translate to wins, as Lock is only 4-13 in 17 career starts.
Now, the young Tigers are going to start putting more pressure on their offensive leader.
First-year coach Barry Odom told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that he was going to stop cutting his younger players so much slack:
“At this point with … the quote-unquote young guys, I’m throwing age out the window,” he said. “We’ve got to do a great job coaching them. We’ve got to eliminate mistakes at every position for us to have a chance. Our quarterback position has done some good things this year. And there are throws you want back.”
Finishing off the season with games vs. Vanderbilt, at Tennessee and vs. Arkansas, Lock will need to prove he can be the quarterback moving forward.
If not, the Tigers may be searching for a new signal caller to start the 2017 season with a clean slate.
