Out of East St. Louis (Illinois) High School, Bass is listed as measuring 6-1, 190 pounds. Bass is given the multi-position ATH label as a prospect, though he’s projected to be a defensive back. On the 247Sports Composite, Bass is rated 4-stars, the No. 7 player in the state of Illinois, No. 13 ATH and No. 310 prospect overall in the 2025 recruiting class.
Bass picked up scholarship offers from 26 schools before announcing his college commitment. Auburn, LSU, Michigan, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee and Texas A&M are among the programs that showed interest. The decision, though, came down to Mizzou and some familiar foes.
For Wednesday’s commitment ceremony, Bass narrowed it down to four teams. He chose Mizzou over Arkansas, Kansas State and Illinois.
Bass is a boost to a Mizzou class that was already ranked No. 13 nationally on the Composite before his commitment.
With Bass on board, Mizzou now has 17 verbal commitments. He is the fifth prospect to commit to MU in the month of July. The Tigers landed 4 pledges in as many days from July 4 through July 7.
