Mizzou won’t have standout DB Ennis Rakestraw on the field against Arkansas, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

A source told Thamel Wednesday that Rakestraw will miss Friday’s game with an injury. Rakestraw could have played his last game in a Missouri uniform, as he’s projected as a Top 100 NFL Draft prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Tigers are looking at a potential New Year’s Six bowl.

Rakestraw played in 9 games for the Tigers this season. He accounted for 35 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, 1 forced fumble, and 4 passes defended before the injury.

Rakestraw last played in the win over Florida with 3 total tackles.

Last season’s matchup with Arkansas ended in a 29-27 win for Missouri. Arkansas is having a bad year at 4-7, but this game could still be close despite the Razorbacks’ record.

Eli Drinkwitz is having the second-best season of his college career in 2023. The top spot goes to his time with Appalachian State, where his team finished the year at 12-1 during the 2019 season.

Missouri travels to Fayetteville with a chance to win its 10th game of the year. Kickoff for Friday’s action will be at 4 p.m. ET on CBS.
