Mo Claiborne may have just made it tougher on himself to land a job.
The former LSU standout most recently suited up for the New York Jets last season and was currently looking for an opportunity to get back in the NFL for the 2019 season but he may have cost himself a shot at doing that because he’s now expected to be suspended for four games. This news comes via Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.
According to Rapoport, Claiborne’s suspension is due to a violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy. However, it should be noted that Claiborne is appealing that decision and it’s possible he has it overturned.
Coming out of LSU, Claiborne was selected in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. He would later move on to the Jets, where he racked up 57 tackles, 14 passes defended and two interceptions during his two seasons in New York.
