Mobile homecoming: Florida WR Kadarius Toney accepts Senior Bowl invitation

For the second year in a row, a Mobile native will be representing Florida in the Senior Bowl.
Kadarius Toney is the latest Gator to accept his invitation to the 2021 postseason college football all-star game where NFL teams evaluate potential draftees.

La’Mical Perine, a former Florida running back from Mobile, capped off his impressive week back in his hometown for the 2020 Senior Bowl with a strong performance (7 rushes, 42 yards; 2 receptions, 17 yards, TD). Perine, now a New York Jet, congratulated his former Gator teammate Thursday night.

In a way, it is Toney’s second Senior Bowl. Toney brought attention to the story written about his mother going into labor while attending the game.

Toney is set to be surrounded by teammates in the game. Shawn Davis, Trevon Grimes, Jeremiah Moon and Kyle Trask have also accepted their Senior Bowl invites.
Toney is having the best season of his Florida career. Through six games, he has 36 catches for 396 yards and 6 touchdowns. He also has 12 rushes for 80 yards and a TD.
