Mohamoud Diabate, departing Florida LB, announces transfer commitment

Mohamoud Diabate is headed west. The departing Florida linebacker announced his transfer commitment to Utah the Gators’ Week 1 2022 opponent on Tuesday.

The Auburn, Alabama native arrived at Florida as part of the 2019 class. In 3 seasons with the Gators, Diabate played in 37 games, recording 176 tackles, including 14 for loss and 6 sacks, to go with 3 forced fumbles and an interception. This season, Diabate led all UF defenders with 89 tackles.
Out of Auburn High, Diabate was rated 4-stars, the No. 6 player in Alabama, No. 6 outside linebacker and No. 109 prospect in the class of 2019 on the 247Sports Composite.
The Utes, fresh off of a 2021 Pac-12 championship, play at Florida on Sep. 3.
