Monday Night Football will have a new musical anthem beginning with the Week 2 doubleheader between the Saints-Panthers and Browns-Steelers on ESPN.
Phil Collins’ “In The Air Tonight” is getting reimagined by Chris Stapleton, Snoop Dogg, and Cindy Blackman Santana. A teaser video was recently released.

The original Monday Night Football theme music will also still remain in place in addition to the new anthem.
“In The Air Tonight” is one of the classic pump up anthems in the history of football, so it’s only fitting to now have the song as part of the MNF catalog.
Legendary wide receiver Hines Ward got the chills when the song was played by Steelers coach Mike Tomlin prior to Super Bowl XLIII.
“It was fascinating to me to see how one song could get you in that mode to go kick some tail,” Ward said.
Washington Commanders wide receiver McLaurin explains that the song is a staple across stadiums.
“I don’t care if you are the home team, the away team, you are hearing that song no matter what (before the game),” McLaurin said.
