Report: More Vanderbilt assistants parting ways with program

Vanderbilt receivers coach Marc Lubick and director of sports performance Bill Hughan will not return next season, according to footballscoop.com. The website also received confirmation from the program that offensive coordinator Karl Dorrell will also not return, which the website reported Monday.

Lubick served as an assistant and wide receivers coach with the Houston Texans before joining Derek Mason’s staff in January. Hughan followed Mason from Stanford after serving as the program’s sports performance coach.

Dorrell spent one season with the Commodores, joining Derek Mason’s staff in January. Mason was a cornerback and return specialist at Northern Arizona when Dorrell served as the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach. Vanderbilt ranked No. 122 in total offense with an average of 288.8 yards per game. The Commodores also ranked No. 117 in scoring offense, No. 106 in passing offense and No. 112 in rushing offense.
